Are you a compassionate and highly skilled mental health professional committed to supporting students' emotional and academic well-being? We are seeking a dedicated school psychologist to join our team and work in a dynamic educational environment. As a school psychologist, you will assess students' needs, collaborate with educators and families, and implement strategies that promote positive learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Psychological Assessments: Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to identify students' learning, behavioral, and emotional needs. Use standardized tools to diagnose learning disabilities, ADHD, and other conditions.
Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Participate in the development of IEPs and 504 plans by interpreting assessment results and making evidence-based recommendations.
Consultation: Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to address student concerns and develop strategies for academic and behavioral interventions.
Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support during school crises, including mental health emergencies and behavioral incidents.
Counseling Services: Offer short-term, evidence-based individual and group counseling to students experiencing emotional, social, or academic difficulties.
Program Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives focused on mental health, diversity, and inclusion.
Compliance and Documentation: Maintain thorough and confidential records in accordance with district policies and legal requirements.
Requirements:
Master's or doctoral degree in school psychology from an accredited institution.
State licensure or certification as a school psychologist.
Knowledge of psychological assessments, special education law, and MTSS frameworks.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
