Are you a dedicated and compassionate medical professional with a passion for mental health care? We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team and provide expert evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with psychiatric disorders. As a psychiatrist, you will play a critical role in helping individuals manage and recover from mental health conditions through a combination of medical and therapeutic approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
Psychiatric Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations for patients presenting with symptoms of mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and PTSD.
Medication Management: Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications, ensuring the safety and effectiveness of pharmacological interventions.
Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with psychologists, therapists, and case managers to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
Crisis Intervention: Respond promptly to psychiatric emergencies and provide immediate care, stabilization, and referrals as needed.
Therapy and Counseling: Provide short-term counseling or psychotherapy to support medication adherence and encourage coping strategies.
Family Support: Educate and counsel family members regarding treatment plans, medications, and strategies to support their loved ones.
Documentation: Maintain clear and accurate records of patient evaluations, diagnoses, treatments, and progress according to legal and institutional requirements.
Collaboration: Work with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and coordinate with primary care providers and social services.
Requirements:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Completion of an accredited residency program in psychiatry.
Board certification or board eligibility in psychiatry.
Valid medical license in the state of practice.
DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.
Excellent diagnostic, therapeutic, and interpersonal skills.
